His hypothetical writing wasn’t the representation of some great imaginative world currently all around him with a pulsing vitality, keeping him entertained while others continued on in their own dull lives. It was, rather, an attempt to add a small part of that world into the mundane experiences that he found himself in all those fruitless nights.
In life, reflection is important. We ask ourselves, how did I get here? How did I get to where I am today? The answer is important.
Let’s pretend there is a particularly annoying customer at a coffee shop and to bring about some subjective Brian Justice, I use my powers of telekinesis to knock his cup of iced coffee 1 onto his lap. Or perhaps a reckless driver is actin’ a fool on the road and to bring about the safety everyone else, I can make his tires start deflating. Are these wrong?
